MBS/ A Phi A- Seminar Oct. 16th @ 7 p.m-The Economic State of the Student: What does it all really mean!?

The Minority Business Society, The Iota Delta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., & the Student Resource Center

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Economic State of the Student: What does it all really mean!?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-Why did my financial aid drop late?
-What does the stock market failing even mean?
-Why couldn't I get a student loan like I did before?
-CSPAN, CNN...if its not ESPN i don't neeed to watch it, all the other stuff makes no sense!!!!

It's time to step your game up concerning what is happening in today's economy. If you're confused, trying to find out more, or wanting to educate others, this is where you need to be!

With stock markets hitting record lows and being similarly compared to the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression, much media attention has been devoted to its coverage. Amidst the collapse of major financial institutions such as Lehman Brothers, Bear Stearns, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac, lies the uncovered truth of how the “average person” is affected; rather today’s college student.

What: The Economic State of the Student: What does it all mean?!

When: Thursday October 16, 2008 @ 7 pm

Where: Starry Conference Room (rm 214 Rovetta Business Bldg A)
